Training/Learning opportunities in EFT
Core Skills
This is advanced training in the practice of EFCT and consists of four 2-day sessions spread out over the course of a year. Cost is $375 per each 2-day session. One must have completed the Basic Externship to participate. A new group is forming to begin October 2012. If you are interested in this training and want to be on the list please let me know at:
Consultation groups
EFT Consultation Group:
This group is open to those wanting to discuss the practice of EFT, present a case for consultation, or just learn more about EFT. The group meets in the conference room at Minnesota Renewal Center on the 1st Wednesday of the even numbered months and the 1st Friday of odd numbered months from 9-10:30. There is no cost to participate in this group.
Learning Group
This is a small group limited to 6 participants of those interested in a more concentrated learning of EFT practice. This is done through discussion, video demonstration, case presentation, and role plays and is led by Kurt Wical, Ph.D., LMFT. Our next group will be starting in October or November of 2012.
This group can also be counted towards group supervision for the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. One must register to participate and cost is $180 for the 6 session/12 hour series.

This is a 4-day, intensive training in the basics of EFT, an empirically validated approach to couples therapy and a must have for any therapist working with couples. It is also the first step toward becoming a certified EFT couples therapist. More information about the content of this training can be found on our brochure. The MN EFT Community invites EFT-trained mental health professionals and counseling students training in EFT to join us in accomplishing our mission to:
- Provide competent EFT therapists for the community.
- Promote the learning and practice of EFT.
- Encourage training and certification in EFT.
- Enhance the satisfaction of EFT therapists in MN.

- Facilitating communication and connection among EFT clinicians.
- Sharing resources and outreach efforts
- Supporting skill-building opportunities, and
- Organizing events for EFT clinicians.
